The June 20, 2009 LACPS meeting will be in the Botanical Center Ahmanson Classroom of the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens.

Meeting time: 10:30am to 2:30pm

The behind the scenes greenhouse tour is scheduled to begin at 11:30am so get to the classroom no later than 11:15am if you wish to join the tour. Jim Folsom the Director of Gardens will be our tour guide.

From California Blvd or Colorado Blvd go South on Allen Ave until you get to the Huntington (Orlando Rd). Enter the parking lot and find parking. Parking is free.

Do not go to the main entrance. Walk to the Southwest corner of the parking lot. There will be a guard booth/kiosk. From there head west past the covered staff parking area to the Botanical Center.

Get a sticker from me at the Ahmanson Classroom. You will need the sticker to enter the grounds and exhibits. Do not go to the main entrance unless you get lost and need directions to the Botanical Center. They will not have the meeting stickers and may charge for admission.

You are welcome to bring plants. Be aware of the walking distance from where you park and the Botanical Center can be 1 or 2 blocks. Plants can be left in the classroom until 2:30pm but they are likely to be unattended if everyone leaves or visits the rest of the grounds. Also please bring trays or something to prevent a mess on the tables. We need to be sure to leave the area in a clean condition and with all the chairs and tables returned to their original setups.
